Road King® Special: Power and Performance

Putting power on the pavement is what the Road King® Special is all about, and the all-new Milwaukee-Eight Engine is the clearest improvement on that front. With 107 cubic inches of displacement, the engine puts out about 10% more power than its predecessor, while also running cooler and with better fuel efficiency. This is thanks in part to its eight-valve design, which allows for precise control. The improved 6-Speed Cruise Drive® Transmission provides quiet gear changes and smooth acceleration throughout, giving a responsive, full-strength feel. All that power demands some serious brakes, and Harley-Davidson® has come through with new Reflex™ linked Brembo® brakes. Equipped with ABS standard, you won't lock up the wheels should you need to slow down in a hurry. Road King® Special: Awesome Style

A Harley® looks best in motion, but the Road King® Special will draw stares just parked on the curb. Designers went dark for this model, with blacked out tank gauges, exhaust pipes, forks, and wheels. About those wheels: glossy black with modern turbine-style spokes, they have a tough, aggressive design that's perfect for this reinvented ride. In the back, one-touch, large capacity saddlebags were designed to offer ample storage space, while being easy to open, even with gloves on. Mini-ape handlebars give you an upright posture that will help you tear through the roads with confidence. This bike was meant to eat up pavement, so the designers made sure it looked that way.

Road King® Special: Comfort Meant for a King

For touring bikes like the the Road King® Special, comfort is key during long road trips. Up top, a contoured bucket seat is narrow enough to reduce pressure on your thighs, while being lower to the ground than previous models for added stability when at a stop. A rubber-mounted, counterbalanced engine helps to reduce vibration, especially at higher speeds. Harley-Davidson® also added all-new suspension. the rear emulsion shocks can be adjusted with the simple turning of a knob, while up front, the forks feature bigger pistons for improved response and a softer ride. Full-length rider footboards give you a solid foundation to plant your feet into, even during hard turns and stomach dropping acceleration.
